Situație critică și în Bulgaria: centrala nucleară Kozlodui riscă să fie oprită dacă Dunărea mai scade cu încă 20-30 cm

The low water levels of the Danube raise concerns about the operation of Bulgaria's Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, which relies on the river for cooling. If levels drop by another 20-30 cm, the plant may need to shut down. Currently, the river's level is critically low, affecting navigation and the plant's cooling system. Unlike Romania and Hungary, Kozloduy is located 7 km from the Danube, requiring a pumping station and canal for water supply. Similar issues are affecting Romania's Cernavodă plant, which may also shut down due to low water levels.
