Situație critică în sistemul energetic. România s-a apropiat de limita de 4.000 MW din import și a cumpărat energie peste cât producea
Romania's national energy system is nearing its limits as electricity imports exceeded domestic production on October 3, 2023. The national output was only 2,900 MW, while imports reached nearly 3,400 MW, close to the 4,000 MW import capacity limit. Factors contributing to this situation include reduced hydro resources due to prolonged drought, the Cernavoda nuclear plant being offline, and low storage capacity for solar energy. By October 5, the energy production was 4,427 MW against a consumption of 6,100 MW, highlighting ongoing challenges in meeting demand.
