Hydrologists predict a maximum flow of 2,000 mc/s and a minimum of 1,450 mc/s for August. Currently, the flow at Baziaș is projected to decrease from 1,400 mc/s to 1,300 mc/s, significantly below the average of 3,900 mc/s. Downstream of the Iron Gates, flows are expected to remain stable but slightly decrease. For other rivers, daily average flows will generally remain stable, with potential isolated increases in some smaller rivers due to forecasted rainfall. Overall, the hydrological regime in August 2026 is expected to be between 30-50% of the monthly multiannual averages, with some areas experiencing even lower flows.
