At a recent AI event, presidential advisor Cosmin-Alexandru Soare-Filatov emphasized the need for controlled testing and legal evaluations of AI systems before their broader implementation. He highlighted that AI should enhance public services without transferring decision-making responsibility to automated systems. The advisor referenced South Korea's judicial AI initiatives and expressed hope for collaboration between Romania and South Korea in areas like AI governance and cybersecurity. A workshop on AI governance and digital transformation is being held in partnership with the South Korean government.
