ABB has been chosen to upgrade the control and safety systems of Unit 1 at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, ensuring its long-term operation. This project aims to extend the unit's operational life by 30 years, maintaining reliable, low-carbon energy supply. The upgrade will replace existing systems with ABB Ability System 800xA, enhancing operational reliability and cybersecurity.
