Transelectrica has inaugurated two STATCOM installations at Sibiu Sud and Bradu, enhancing energy supply security. The project, costing approximately 260 million lei, was funded mainly by the Modernization Fund and completed ahead of schedule. These installations improve the National Energy System's stability and flexibility, allowing for better integration of renewable energy sources. They provide dynamic voltage regulation and reactive power compensation, addressing the challenges of fluctuating energy demands. This investment is crucial for modernizing Romania's energy infrastructure and ensuring a reliable energy supply.
