Siria construia în secret un reactor nuclear sub regimul lui Bashar al-Assad, potrivit ONU
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that Bashar al-Assad's regime secretly built a nuclear reactor in Deir el-Zour, Syria. Inspections revealed undeclared nuclear materials and activities, violating the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The reactor, previously destroyed by Israel in 2007, was linked to North Korean support. Following the Assad regime's fall, new authorities allowed IAEA access to previously restricted sites and documents. The IAEA is continuing its investigations to assess Syria's nuclear program and the status of related materials.
