Singurul lucru care a ținut economia pe linia de plutire au fost banii europeni. Băncile își refac calculele

Romania's economy contracted slightly in Q2 2026, with a 0.4% decrease compared to last year. The first half of the year saw a 0.7% decline. BCR revised its forecast, predicting a 0.7% contraction for the entire year, primarily supported by investments funded by EU money. Consumer spending decreased due to rising prices outpacing wage growth, while construction performed well due to infrastructure projects. Industry and services declined, except for entertainment, and agriculture showed minimal growth. Weak consumer spending is expected to persist, but investments will remain strong, particularly in Q3. A clearer recovery is anticipated in 2027, with a projected growth of 2.2%.
