Romanian champion Simone Tempestini secured the top spot in the qualifiers for the Barum Czech Rally Zlín, the fifth round of the 2026 European Rally Championship. Tempestini and co-driver Francesca Maior, competing under number 8 in the ERC1 category, are preparing for a challenging asphalt stage known for its fast and uneven roads. Tempestini achieved a time of 03:55.0, leading ahead of competitors Jakub Matulka and Filip Mares. The rally, taking place from August 14-16, features 13 special stages totaling 205.79 kilometers. Tempestini emphasized the importance of precision and confidence as they aim to maintain their lead in the championship.
