Siemens Mobility, along with ELSITEL and IMSAT, has secured three contracts for modernizing Romania's railway signaling infrastructure, totaling approximately 308 million euros. The projects will enhance around 560 kilometers of railway lines and involve upgrades at 66 stations, including the establishment of remote control posts and modernization of level crossings. The aim is to replace outdated signaling systems to improve safety, transport capacity, and operational reliability. This initiative aligns with Romania's and the EU's goals for sustainable transport and reduced carbon emissions.
