Siegfried Mureșan, desemnat premier de Nicușor Dan: „Accept propunerea făcută de Președintele României”

Siegfried Mureșan has been proposed as Romania's new prime minister by President Nicușor Dan after consultations with political parties. Mureșan accepted the proposal, acknowledging the challenges ahead due to the current parliamentary configuration. The official appointment will follow a presidential decree once Mureșan confirms his acceptance. The discussions aimed to resolve the ongoing political crisis, which has persisted for over four months since the previous government was dismissed. Various parties have expressed differing support for candidates, with Mureșan being favored by PNL, USR, and UDMR, while PSD proposed Sorin Grindeanu.
