He highlighted the increase in airspace violations and maritime attacks, emphasizing the need for collective action. Mureșan proposed operationalizing the Black Sea Maritime Security Center, directing unused SAFE funds to bolster defense capabilities, and securing dedicated funding for Black Sea security in future EU budgets. He stressed that Romania and Bulgaria are on the front line and require support from the EU.
