Zachary Shachter and Elise Schiffman constructed their 65-square-meter home on a 12-acre plot above the abandoned town of Saint Elmo. The house features a unique design that allows it to remain comfortable during harsh winters, with snow providing additional insulation. They utilize solar panels, a wood stove, and a large greenhouse for heating and growing plants. The couple is now working on a larger home, expanding their sustainable living efforts.
