A 20-year-old woman was held captive for 10 days by her 38-year-old boyfriend in Vulcan, Romania, who physically abused her to force her to transfer ownership of a garage to him. Police intervened on September 23 after receiving a report of her captivity and abuse. Upon arrival, they found the couple and took them to the station for questioning. The investigation revealed that the man had terrorized and beaten her repeatedly during the captivity period. Due to the threat to her life, authorities issued a temporary protection order. The man is now facing charges of domestic violence, unlawful detention, and blackmail, and has been detained for 24 hours pending further legal action.
