Sfârșitul unei ere în București. Tramvaiele Tatra au fost retrase după 53 de ani pe străzile Capitalei
The Tatra trams made their final run in Bucharest after 53 years of service, marking the end of an era in public transport. An official retirement event was held at the Militari Depot, attended by many nostalgic residents. Six trams will be preserved as heritage pieces, while the rest are permanently retired. Former STB employees and the mayor shared memories of the trams, which became a symbol of the city. The Tatra trams, introduced in 1973, were known for their longevity and were produced by ČKD Tatra. Newer models, like the Imperio trams, have since been introduced, with plans for further modernization in the future.
