This follows claims from Ukraine about up to 50,000 North Korean soldiers supporting Moscow in the war against Ukraine. Reports indicate that North Korea has mobilized around 15,000 combat troops and over 6,000 engineers since October 2024. South Korean intelligence suggests that North Korean missiles may have improved performance due to real combat data and Russian support. Currently, about 8,500 North Korean soldiers are reportedly stationed in Russia, including drone operators.
