Serbia plans to release around 5,000 tons of diesel from its state reserves to address shortages caused by global supply disruptions due to conflicts in Iran and Ukraine. The Energy Minister, Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, announced this decision, highlighting the significant impact of these conflicts on global diesel supply and prices. The country is facing a high demand for diesel, expected to reach 205,000 tons in October. Additionally, logistics costs have risen due to low water levels in the Danube, affecting fuel imports. The national oil company, NIS, is also increasing its oil processing capacity to mitigate the situation.
