Sensurile giratorii, capcană pentru vitezomani. Cum pot deveni mortale pentru şoferi
Roundabouts are intended to slow down vehicles, but many encourage speeding, leading to dangerous situations. Poor design contributes to accidents, as drivers often enter at high speeds. A recent fatal incident in Ilfov highlights this issue, where a driver ignored the speed limit and collided with another vehicle. This problem is not limited to rural roads; urban areas also see similar reckless behavior. Experts emphasize that roundabouts must be designed to force drivers to reduce speed, ideally to 35-45 km/h, to prevent accidents. In Romania, nearly 1,700 serious accidents occurred in the first half of the year, with speed and failure to yield being major factors.
