The Senate held a crucial session on biodiversity laws, decarbonization, and the SAFE program, with the National Strategy for Biodiversity 2026-2030 adopted. Premier Ilie Bolojan expressed concerns about amendments to decarbonization legislation, warning of potential financial penalties and risks to EU funding. The session also addressed the urgent implementation of the SAFE program and the decarbonization of the energy sector, both tied to Romania's commitments under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
