Senatul a adoptat prelungirea până în 2035 a interdiciție utilizării serviiilor software din Rusia de către autoritățile publice

The Romanian Senate has extended the ban on the purchase and use of Russian software in public institutions until December 31, 2035, citing cybersecurity concerns amid ongoing aggression from Russia. This decision, announced by Senate President Mircea Abrudean, aims to protect national security and critical infrastructure from potential vulnerabilities. The law will now proceed to the Chamber of Deputies for final approval. The move follows investigations revealing that a digital forensics company, Oxygen, allegedly linked to Russia, provided services to various European law enforcement agencies, raising alarms about cybersecurity risks.
