Senator Paul-Ciprian Pintea has been sentenced to 1 year and 5 months in prison for driving without a valid license. He was previously convicted for similar offenses. Pintea was caught driving in Zalău despite having his driving rights suspended and failed to stop for police. His case has been taken over by the High Court of Cassation and Justice after multiple incidents of driving without a license. He is currently a non-affiliated senator and serves on transport and budget committees.
