Șeful Wizz Air: România rămâne în cărți pentru un centru de pregătire a piloților, o investiție de 60 de milioane de euro
Wizz Air's CEO, Varadi Jozsef, confirmed Romania is still a candidate for a pilot training center, with an investment of 60-70 million euros. The airline currently operates two training centers in Budapest and Rome, and the new center will cater to both pilots and cabin crew. Despite challenges in the aviation industry due to rising fuel prices and geopolitical tensions, Wizz Air remains competitive with new aircraft and hedging contracts. The demand for travel is increasing, particularly to Egypt and Morocco, while Wizz Air holds about 50% of the Romanian market. Future investments depend on favorable economic conditions, and discussions about taking over Tarom's domestic flights are not currently active.
