Andrei Cherezov, a Russian drone company director, was critically injured in an assassination attempt in Tula. The attack is part of a broader trend targeting military officials and defense industry figures. Cherezov was shot three times by an assailant when he opened his apartment door. His company, established in 2022, specializes in multi-role drones and has recently secured state contracts worth approximately 30 million rubles. Due to its involvement in supporting Russia's war efforts, the company faces economic sanctions from the US, EU, and Ukraine.
