McCallum noted a significant increase in hostile state activities, particularly from Russia, Iran, and China, with MI5 facing four times more cases than a decade ago. He emphasized the real risks posed by AI, which could enhance terrorist capabilities and lead to the creation of new biological weapons. The UK intelligence community is collaborating to address these threats.
