Șeful Consiliului Fiscal, apel către clasa politică înaintea anunțului S&P: „Situația este foarte gravă, chiar dacă nu vom fi retrogradați”

Daniel Dăianu, head of the Fiscal Council, emphasized the urgent need for a crisis government in Romania as the country awaits S&P's rating decision. He believes that even if Romania is not downgraded, the situation remains critical, affecting access to financing. Dăianu noted that the political instability and lack of a full government since May hinder economic progress. He praised the government's efforts to reduce the budget deficit but warned that financial engineering alone won't solve the underlying issues. The S&P decision is expected to maintain Romania's current rating, which is at the lowest investment grade.
