The director of Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, Romeo Urjan, stated that Unit 2 can operate for only five more days due to low water levels in the Danube. Following an explosion aimed at increasing water flow, the effects are expected to be seen soon. Additional measures, including the placement of barges, are being considered to direct more water to the plant.
