Șeful Bursei din Istanbul a fost reținut, după turbulențele de pe piața de capital din Turcia
The CEO of Borsa Istanbul, Korkmaz Enes Ergun, was detained on charges of bribery and belonging to a criminal organization amid market turmoil. Investigations by the Istanbul Public Prosecutor's Office focus on capital market transactions, prompted by complaints from the Capital Markets Board (CMB). Following significant declines in the main index and liquidity issues affecting over 455,000 investors, the CMB liquidated 131 funds. Authorities have arrested 26 individuals, including portfolio management directors, and a total of 120 people are in preventive detention. The Turkish parliament has passed a law allowing interim payments to investors, while the Finance Minister downplayed systemic risks.
