Șeful armatei germane va fi următorul președinte al Comitetului Militar al NATO

General Carsten Breuer has been elected as the future president of NATO's Military Committee, succeeding Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone next summer. The decision was made during a meeting of NATO's Chiefs of Defense in Copenhagen. Breuer's operational judgment and deep knowledge of the Alliance were highlighted as valuable assets. He will assume this role at a critical time for Euro-Atlantic security, as NATO faces significant changes and increased military budgets from member states. Breuer, known as the 'Chancellor's General,' has a long military career, including leading Germany's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
