Șeful AEP vrea schimbări în procesul de vot în România: urne cu scanere, renunțarea la ștampile și buletine de vot „simplificate”

The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) in Romania plans to modernize the electoral process by introducing automatic ballot counting and eliminating traditional voting stamps. A pilot project will test new technologies this fall. AEP aims to simplify ballots and reduce their size, drawing on practices from other EU countries. AEP's head, Adrian Țuțuianu, advocates for greater authority for the AEP over electoral processes, reducing the roles of local governments. Additionally, reforms are planned for the Electoral Experts Corps to improve training and efficiency. AEP also seeks to enhance democratic education programs to counter misinformation among youth.
