She criticized the elections as a significant setback for Russian democracy, highlighting the suppression of dissent and the exclusion of opposition parties. Kallas emphasized that Russia's actions create a facade of democracy and stated that measures will be proposed against facilitators of these elections. Additionally, Romania's Foreign Ministry condemned the opening of Russian voting stations in Transnistria, asserting it violates Moldova's sovereignty.
