The Danube's flow remains at historical lows, with a potential increase expected around September 15. A new assessment for restarting the reactors will occur after this date. Authorities are preparing for winter energy needs, with sufficient coal reserves and stable regional markets. However, energy imports will be necessary during peak hours due to the nuclear plant's closure. A three-phase emergency plan has been announced to ensure the safe operation of Cernavodă if the Danube's flow decreases further, including the deployment of barges and pumps for cooling.
