Secţie de Cardiologie Intervenţională, inaugurată la Spitalul Judeţean din Galați

The new Interventional Cardiology Department at the Emergency Clinical Hospital in Galați has been inaugurated, following an investment of over 22.5 million lei. It features a fully equipped intervention room and advanced medical equipment for treating severe cardiovascular conditions. The facility includes 25 beds in 12 rooms and aims to enhance emergency response times for cardiac patients. The president of the County Council highlighted the importance of this investment, which includes modernized infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology. The department is expected to improve treatment capacity and save lives, with a significant increase in procedures performed since 2021. However, more specialized medical staff is needed to operate at full capacity.
