Secția română a Uniunii Internaționale a Presei Francofone cere investigarea susținătorilor lui Călin Georgescu care l-au declarat mort pe jurnalistul Cristian Tudor Popescu

The Romanian section of the International Union of Francophone Press condemned the declaration of journalist Cristian-Tudor Popescu's death by protesters. They urged all associated groups to publicly distance themselves from such actions and promote peaceful protests respecting democratic values. This incident reflects a worrying trend in public discourse, exacerbated by politicians and insufficiently addressed by authorities. The organization called for an urgent investigation by Romanian authorities to uphold the rule of law and protect press freedom. The International Union of Francophone Press, established in 1950, has around 4,000 members across 110 countries.
