Robert Sighiartău, the PNL Secretary General, announced that the party will not join the government led by Luca Niculescu but will support it during the parliamentary vote of confidence. He emphasized the need for a functioning government due to the current political deadlock affecting the economy. Sighiartău mentioned that PNL is open to discussions with Niculescu regarding his government program, which he is currently developing. Meanwhile, PSD leaders have given Sorin Grindeanu a mandate to negotiate with Niculescu, while USR remains cautious, awaiting the government program. Niculescu has invited all parties for discussions as he has ten days to form his executive team.
