Dan Reșitnec, the Secretary General of the Government, announced a significant reduction in protocol expenses, halving the costs compared to last year. From May to July, expenses totaled 291,890 lei, down from 548,139 lei in the same period last year. This reduction is attributed to fewer extended analysis meetings and cuts in unjustified demands from former officials. Reșitnec emphasized the need for transparency in government spending and highlighted the importance of responsible financial management.
