Secretarul de stat în Ministerul Transporturilor, Horațiu Cosma, afirmă că lipsa investițiilor a degradat calea ferată din România: „A ajuns să primească bani de semințe pentru întreținere”

Horațiu Cosma, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, highlighted the deterioration of Romania's railway infrastructure due to insufficient maintenance investments. He emphasized the need for annual repairs of about 600 kilometers of railway, requiring significant funding. Cosma pointed out that the focus has been on road infrastructure for the past two decades, leading to neglect of railways. He mentioned that while the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) is a step forward, ongoing efforts are crucial. Delays in major railway projects are attributed to both authorities and contractors, necessitating improved administrative capacity within the Romanian Railway Company (CFR).
