Secretar de stat: Facturile la energie ar putea crește cu până la 10% în perioada următoare

Energy prices are expected to rise moderately by up to 10%, according to Cristian Bușoi from the Ministry of Energy. This follows Hidroelectrica's announcement of a price increase for new customers starting October, with an estimated impact of around 7% on final prices. Bușoi noted that higher consumer bills are partly due to increased summer usage amid high temperatures. The new price for energy will rise from 0.45 lei/kWh to 0.515 lei/kWh, affecting only new contracts and those reaching term. The increase is attributed to drought conditions and reduced production capacity, particularly from hydro sources. Additionally, market pressures and rising production costs are contributing to the price adjustments.
