The Bucharest Court of Appeal lifted the seizure on Nordis properties in Mamaia, valued over 100 million euros, while maintaining the seizure on assets belonging to Laura Vicol and Vladimir Ciorbă. Prosecutors had previously imposed the seizure due to numerous complaints from individuals claiming fraud in property purchases. Investigations revealed that Ciorbă's company failed to deliver promised investments, leading to allegations of embezzlement and money laundering. Vicol and Ciorbă were arrested in February 2025 but later released. The case continues with additional complaints and an estimated total fraud loss of around 99 million euros.
