The severe drought has revealed parts of the foundations of the Bridge of Constantine the Great, an ancient Roman engineering marvel. This discovery allows archaeologists to study the structure, which was built nearly 1,700 years ago. Located near Ghighen, Bulgaria, the foundations became visible due to low river levels. Researchers are documenting the site using drones. The bridge, inaugurated in 328 AD, connected ancient cities in present-day Bulgaria and Romania. Currently, the Danube is experiencing historic low water levels, impacting various regions and revealing more historical artifacts.
