Seceta schimbă Crișul Repede în Oradea: crengi, trunchiuri și plante au ieșit la vedere (FOTO)

The prolonged drought has significantly reduced the flow of the Crișul Repede River, exposing vegetation and debris in the riverbed. In Oradea, aquatic plants and waste have accumulated near the water's edge, creating an unappealing sight for visitors. The Crișuri Water Administration has been actively removing excess vegetation since August using the Truxor T50 machine, which can mow, rake, and dredge. Currently, aquatic mowing is taking place, with cut vegetation collected at a special barrier. This is the third consecutive year the machine has been used in shallow areas, and the first year where the low water level restricts its operation. In mid-August, the river's flow was only 21% of the average for that month.
