Meteorologists have issued a yellow alert for significant rainfall in Romania, effective from October 12 to October 13. Heavy rain is expected in Muntenia, southeastern Oltenia, and the Curvature Carpathians, with accumulations of 20-30 liters per square meter, locally reaching 40-50 liters. A national weather advisory indicates widespread rain, with thunderstorms possible, and snow at higher altitudes. Wind gusts may reach 70-90 km/h in mountainous areas. Temperatures will drop significantly, especially in the west and southwest, with Bucharest experiencing pleasant weather on Sunday before rain arrives. The alert for heavy rain will also apply to Bucharest during this period, coinciding with a cold and unstable weather episode.
