Romania is entering a period of high temperatures combined with atmospheric instability, with yellow alerts issued for heat and storms. Starting from August 24, temperatures may reach 36 degrees Celsius, accompanied by heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hail. The weather will vary across regions, with heat waves alternating with unstable conditions. Initial storms are expected in the Southern Carpathians, spreading to other areas by Tuesday. Rainfall could reach 15-20 liters per square meter in a few hours, with localized accumulations exceeding 40 liters. High temperatures will persist, especially in the southwest and south, with discomfort due to humidity.
