CNAIR announces the implementation of a new road toll system, STRR and TollRo, set for August 31, 2026, with actual toll charges starting on October 1, 2026. This system will differentiate tolls based on vehicle categories and usage, particularly affecting heavy transport vehicles. The transition to this new system has been delayed multiple times, with the latest postponement allowing for necessary system testing and integration. Interoperability with EU toll systems is expected to begin on January 15, 2027, enhancing cross-border toll payment capabilities.
