New regulations for the Deposit Return System (SGR) may allow PET bottles and cans to be returned at schools, universities, and public institutions. This change is part of a project aimed at making the system more accessible, especially for young people. Currently, only retailers and local authorities can set up return points. The proposed changes would enable educational institutions and public authorities to operate these points, equipped with automated machines for collecting containers. Consumers would receive their deposit back via vouchers or bank transfers, enhancing the collection network in high-traffic areas.
