New regulations for hand luggage may be introduced for air travelers within the European Union, allowing two pieces of hand luggage without extra fees. The changes are part of a comprehensive review of air passenger rights and represent the first major update since 2004. Passengers will be allowed to carry a small personal item and a cabin bag weighing up to seven kilograms. If adopted, these changes will enable EU travelers to bring both items on board without additional costs.
