Se schimbă prețurile la mâncare! Lista alimentelor de bază care rămân ieftine, în magazine, și ce se scumpește • Newsweek România

The Romanian government has extended the price cap on basic food items until the end of the year, but some prices are still rising. Consumers should be aware of price variations across stores. The price cap limits the commercial markup to a maximum of 20% for processors, distributors, and retailers. A list of basic foods with capped prices includes bread, milk, cheese, yogurt, flour, eggs, sunflower oil, fresh meat, and certain fruits and vegetables. However, consumers are warned about tactics like reducing package sizes while keeping prices the same, known as 'shrinkflation'. Regular inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with pricing regulations.
