Changes to high school admission for students entering 8th grade in September 2026 will include optional additional exams. Schools can hold their own entrance exams, but the National Evaluation remains the main assessment. Students must score at least 5 in the National Evaluation to participate in these additional exams, which will be tailored to the school's profile. The results of these exams may influence the final admission score, but students can still rely on the computerized placement if they choose not to participate. The new rules are currently in draft form and subject to consultation.
