Starting September 8, 2026, the blood donation center at Floreasca Hospital reopens, allowing 30-40 donors daily without appointment. The center operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This reopening follows an increase in blood donations, with 31,930 procedures recorded in the first half of 2026, a 3.4% rise from 2025. The center serves over 70 hospitals in Romania and is the largest of its kind in the country. Other fixed donation points are available at the University Emergency Hospital and the 'Prof. Dr. Dimitrie Gerota' Emergency Hospital in the capital.
