Traffic and pedestrian access in Unirii Square, Bucharest, will partially reopen on August 25 after completion of initial deck works. Mayor Daniel Băluță announced improvements including new sidewalks and road markings. The project aims to enhance infrastructure safety and stability for decades. Ongoing works are expected to finish by the start of the new school year, with further enhancements planned for the park area. Additionally, a new tram line is proposed, and construction for the Unirii Passage is estimated to begin in 2028.
