The Romanian government has extended the deadline for updating CAEN codes by six months, allowing businesses and authorized individuals until March 25, 2027, to transition to CAEN Rev. 3. This decision aims to ease administrative pressures and facilitate a smoother adaptation process for firms that have struggled to meet the initial deadline. Currently, only a small percentage of professionals have updated their activities according to the new classification. The extension will enable both CAEN Rev. 2 and Rev. 3 codes to be used simultaneously, providing additional time for necessary adjustments and ensuring accurate economic data collection.
